The LEGO Batman Movie was the #1 movie in America this weekend with a little over $53 million at the box office, and while that figure didn’t quite match early projections, it’s still a very good start for the critically acclaimed animated spinoff. Now, Warner Bros. has released one of the film’s best clips online to seemingly celebrate its success, and you can check it out up above.
After watching this excellent montage, it’s hard not to get a little excited, as this particular scene arguably stands out as perhaps The LEGO Batman Movie‘s best sequence. Or at least, one of them. The song is “Who’s The (Bat)Man” by Patrick Stump, and while it’s available on Apple Music and Spotify, it works a lot better with the hilarious imagery you’ll see here.
The clip also sheds some light on what The LEGO Batman Movie does with the unique relationship between the Caped Crusader and the Joker, something which plays a massive role throughout the rest of the film. If you’ve yet to check Warner Bros’ spinoff, it’s fair to say that the footage above should help make up your mind.
After all, The LEGO Batman Movie faced stiff competition this weekend from Fifty Shades Darker and John Wick: Chapter 2, so moviegoers were pretty much spoiled for choice. Still, it did quite well for itself and we’re excited to see how it performs at the box office as the weeks roll on.
