As great as video games are, they can only go so far in offering fantastic adventures that you’d never be able to experience in everyday life. Nintendo is obviously aware that its fans are always clamoring for more lifelike experiences too, as its just announced a new escape room experience themed around The Legend of Zelda series.
The aptly-named Defenders of the Triforce experience will have its first run starting from January 31 in San Francisco, with seven more planned for other cities around the US. Sadly, Nintendo doesn’t appear to be planning on bringing the experience to other countries around the world, so if you’re living overseas, you might want to get those plane tickets booked now.
In collaboration with escape room experts SCRAP, Defenders of the Triforce will see participants team up with five other players to solve a “mystery in a huge area, all within a set time limit,” according to a press release provided by Nintendo.
Those lucky few who manage to secure a ticket will have the opportunity to “interact with classic items and characters seen in The Legend of Zelda series like the Goron, Zora and Kokiri tribes, using items found during the adventure to “solve puzzles and move forward into other areas, just like in The Legend of Zelda games.”
