After word broke out over the weekend regarding an alleged collaboration between none other than deadmau5 and Jauz, the Canadian producer has taken to social media to set the record straight. The incident began after Fawks uploaded a mix featuring the supposed Jauz/mau5 collab, crediting an ID to the two producers.
Fans took to Twitter to get the facts straight, asking the “Strobe” producer if the track indeed belonged to him and Jauz. As some had already suspected, the rumors were just that and deadmau5 confirmed it as a fake.
If this is really a @Jauzofficial and @deadmau5 collab I’m listening to, I need it right now.

no. its not. https://t.co/6rHCcxqHHW

It didn’t end there, however. Unfortunately for Jauz and his fans, deadmau5 also took the opportunity to crush any hope of a collaboration between the two when asked by a fan if we would consider working with EDM’s favorite shark.
@deadmau5 @timkomusic @Jauzofficial would you collab? Just curious. ?

nope. https://t.co/sQROnN2Buf

Some fans will certainly be disappointed to learn that the alleged collab was indeed a fake, and it’s unclear at this point why Fawks would falsely attribute deadmau5 to the ID. Regardless, you can listen to the tune in question above at the 25:55 mark.
