There’s already been murmurs circulating the internet recently suggesting that Bethesda is gearing up to announce a remastered re-release of their fantasy epic Skyrim, but now it’s looking more likely then ever to be true.

A listing for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – The Definitive Edition has been spotted on UK retailer Base.com by a user on Neogaf (via VideoGamer), and lists the release date as November 23, 2016. What exactly a remastered version of the original game would offer in terms of improvements remains unclear, but if the rumor turns out to be true, you can probably expect some improved visuals and a higher native resolution to be included.

Furthermore, with a phrase like Definitive Edition being pinned on the end, one can only hope that all prior DLC released for the game is in here, too. But the most exciting prospect of all this is mod support. With Bethesda finally bringing the feature to consoles with Fallout 4, they may well be intending to do the same for their beloved RPG series.

If we are to get a current-gen update of Skyrim this year, you can bet that Bethesda will be using their conference at E3 on June 13 as a platform to show off what they’ve done to make a great game even better.
