In all fairness, Afrojack’s new track (which is more than likely titled “Say Goodbye”) contains all the ingredients necessary to become a 2016 festival staple. A memorable vocal contributed by an as-yet-unidentified female singer accompanies a buildup that’s somewhat more main stage-friendly than the typical future bass track, with a euphoric crescendo of pad synths and pitch-shifted vocal cuts at the drop.

By and large, however, Afrojack seems to have fallen off to some degree in recent years. His new mini-documentary series could indicate that he plans to reclaim his career though, so perhaps the song he debuted at EDC New York last weekend is a sign of what’s to come in the months to follow?
