A detailed video of footage from the recent Pokémon Go beta test has been posted online by a user who participated in the early stages of the testing. Given that the beta is supposed to be protected by a non-disclosure agreement at present, you’ll want to take a look at the video while you still can.
As the clip opens, we get a look at some of the character work that goes into the setup of the game. You’ll be able to customize your trainer’s appearance in Pokémon Go, with accessories like bags and – obviously, given that this is a Pokémon game – hats being interchangeable.
Once this is out of the way, the video shows the team selection that players will go through, aligning themselves with either the Red, Blue or Yellow teams. There’s then some footage of gym setup before the person testing the app takes it for a proper spin.
Over the remainder of the clip we get to see some battle action, player progression through gained experience and, of course, catching the beasts themselves. It’s worth remembering that this is beta footage we’re watching, and hopefully some of the bugs and glitches that appear will be smoothed out by the time the app launches for real.
So far, there’s still no early look at the Pokémon Go Plus wrist accessory, but for now you can check out the Pokémon Go beta footage at the top of this page.
