Star-Lord himself Chris Pratt takes you on an all-too-brief tour of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 set with today’s featurette, which arrives by way of the actor’s Omaze campaign.
Supporting the Lake Stevens Boys and Girls Club located in Pratt’s hometown of Lake Stevens, Washington, the latest behind-the-scenes snippet to emerge from Guardians 2 takes fans on board The Milano, Star-Lord’s prized space vessel. Welcoming director James Gunn back behind the lens, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 assembles Marvel’s spacefaring team once again, with the 2017 follow-up poised to reunite Star-Lord with his wayward father, a role that’ll be brought to life by Kurt Russell.
Alongside Pratt and Russell on Marvel’s casting sheet are Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Michael Rooker as Yondu and Vin Diesel as Groot. There’s also room for franchise newcomers Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Tommy Flanagan as a henchmen of Yondu and, potentially, Sylvester Stallone in a cameo role of a faceless Nova Corps foot soldier.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is locked for May 5, 2017, and Kevin Feige and the rest of Marvel’s top brass are already cooking up plans for Awesome Mix Vol. 3, it seems, after the executive teased that a Guardians 3 will “certainly” feature on Marvel’s upcoming Phase Four.
