Grab that whip and pick up the fedora: Disney has issued the green light on Indiana Jones 5, with both Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg on board to return for the long-rumored adventure sequel.

Set for release on July 19, 2019, today’s official announcement brings to an end a long ‘will they, won’t they?’ spiel involving Lucasfilm and Disney. Then again, both Spielberg the seemingly irreplaceable Ford have remained committed to another installment, even factoring in the critically derided Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Behind the lens, series stalwarts Kathleen Marshall — now president of Lucasfilm — and Frank Marshall are on board to produce, with the fifth installment marking the marking the first entry to be released through the House of Mouse, after Paramount took the reins for all of the previous four films.

In light of today’s confirmation, Disney’s Chairman Alan Horn welcomed the return of cinema’s enduring adventurer: “Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019. It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”

It’s official: Indiana Jones 5 will have Harrison Ford play the famed archeologist once more when Disney’s long-awaited sequel gallops into theaters on July 19, 2019.
