Phoenix Online Publishing, who have previously distributed such adventure titles as Cognition and the 2014 Gabriel Knight remake, have confirmed plans to release Cornerstone: The Song of Tyrim, an action RPG by indie studio Overflow Games, across PC, Mac, and Linux computers on April 26.
The title, originally announced and funded via Kickstarter in 2013, will have players control the titular Tyrim, a boy Viking who explores eight unique islands in the fantasy world of Nygard in hopes of locating the missing men from his village.
From the trailer, there looks to be several aesthetic and mechanical elements inspired by the likes of the Gamecube classic The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, but Overflow will also incorporate a deep crafting system allowing players to craft their own weapons, equipment, and playable vehicles like boats and land-based windsurfers.
Other core gameplay mechanics will include real-time combat, physics-based puzzle solving, and dozens of side characters to interact with.
