With Star Wars: The Force Awakens breaking all sorts of box office records (including the highest IMAX debut of all-time), it should probably come as no surprise to learn that theaters are doing all they can to put people in seats over the next few weeks. That’s something Disney will obviously be very happy with, especially as box office analysts are already predicting that the movie could end up topping Avatar‘s $2.7 billion haul.
To keep the hype machine going, IMAX has released the first in a series of posters which are going to be revealed over the coming weeks. These are going to be handed out from this weekend onwards and are a good incentive to get fans back in the cinema.
The first poster (which was revealed a number of weeks ago) for Star Wars: The Force Awakens put the spotlight on Rey, while this one seems to focus on X-Wing pilot Poe Dameron. Who wants to bet that Finn and Kylo Ren are next?
Starring original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker, and franchise newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now in theatres.
