Quite a lot of mutant-related goodies came our way over the weekend what with the first trailer and a couple of posters for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse. Now, we also have a batch of stills to add to the excitement. Most of them are basically just hi-res screencaps from the teaser, but the Quicksilver pic is actually brand new.
The images spotlight several of the new mutant characters – or rather, younger versions of some previously established characters – that we’ll be meeting in the movie. There’s Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler.
Plus, we have the returning Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Oscar Isaac’s titular villain growing in size to take down Xavier, and that new shot of Evan Peters zipping around what looks to be the X-Mansion in a Rush t-shirt. See what they did there?
The coolest image, however, is undoubtedly James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, who is finally sporting a bald head.
Tell us, do you like what you’ve seen from X-Men: Apocalypse so far? Let us know down below.
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
