This week saw the long overdue release of the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse (which you can see above). The first footage from Bryan Singer-directed movie premiered at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con back in July, and after leaking onto the web, fans were left wondering if Fox would follow it up with an official version like Warner Bros. did with Suicide Squad. Unfortunately, though, that didn’t happen.
Thankfully, the wait was well worth it, as the trailer delivers in pretty much every respect. It’s probably for the best that the studio waited to release it, too. After all, Apocalypse looks 100 times better than he did in those first official images from the movie, while the special effects are all top notch (the same can’t be said for the clearly unfinished CGI we’ve recently seen in trailers for movies like Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and The Legend of Tarzan).
So, what were the most exciting and downright awesome moments in the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse? Join us as we take a look at the ten biggest reveals and scenes which stand out as being particularly great and what they might mean for the movie.
