Super Interessante continues to roll out its coverage of Captain America: Civil War today, after the Brazilian outlet hosted an interview with co-director Anthony Russo about all things Marvel.

From the threequel’s story arc to adding a sense of comic relief into the Herculean superhero showdown, Russo has left fans on tenterhooks in the past week or so, and the lion’s share of Super Interssante’s coverage revolves around Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

Indeed, it was only yesterday when we brought you the news that the director – along with his brother Joe Russo – toyed with an experimental process in bringing Holland’s rendition of the webslinger to life, a process that will seemingly be produced using a fair amount of special effects. Does this give us a hint as to what the pair are cooking up for Spider-Man’s anticipated introduction in Civil War?

When quizzed about the famed red and gold guise that appears in the Marvel comic for Civil War, Russo teased that “the film will show a mix of what everyone is waiting for with a little twist. So yeah, that’s all I can say.” Could that pave the way for some form of advanced suit for Spidey, say, something in the vein or Iron Spider? Time will tell.

In closing, here’s what Russo had to say about pairing Holland’s Peter Parker/Spider-Man on screen with Robert Downey Jr.:

“It was a very experimental process, placing it with other actors, especially with Downey Jr., we were learning as we did and are very happy with the result. But we are still working on some things, like the uniform. He’s not ready because so much will be produced with special effects.”

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will find themselves at odds with former allies when Joe and Anthony Russo’s Captain America: Civil War launches into theaters on May 6, 2016.
