After so many years of waiting, it’s kind of hard to believe that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is going to be released next week. While Disney and Lucasfilm are living up to J.J. Abrams’ promise that they won’t spoil the movie in the various TV spots and trailers, they’re still giving it a huge marketing push, and that includes a series of character posters.
There are only a handful of characters left who need one of these, with Captain Phasma the most notable omission so far. Some might argue that Luke Skywalker is the one being neglected, but as everything about him is being kept under wraps, that’s hardly a surprise. Although, it’s certainly possible that Lucasfilm will release one featuring him following the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Regardless, seeing as how BB-8 is already one of Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ most popular character, the droid being given the spotlight here is definitely a welcome sight.
Starring original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and franchise newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be released on December 18th, 2015.
