Love ’em of hate ’em, you’d have to admit that The CW’s DC superhero TV shows have done an excellent job of cross-promoting their characters with Arrow and The Flash, and next year they’ll be adding a whole new series to the mix: DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow.
We’ve known that the show was set for an early 2016 premiere for a while, but now, thanks to a recent interview with Warner Bros. president of television Peter Roth, it appears that we have an exact air date.
Greg [Berlanti] is currently shepherding the highest rated number one and two series of the year, with a third series, Legends of Tomorrow, that we have very high hopes for, on Jan. 21.
So, there you have it, folks, January 21st is when the show will finally be with us. And given what we’ve seen so far from it, we can hardly wait.
For those unfamiliar with the series, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow will feature characters from both The Flash and Arrow, while introducing some new faces into the mix as well. The story will follow a time traveler named Rip Hunter, who sets out to bring together a group of disparate superheroes (and villains) together in the hope that they’ll be able to defeat the greater threat of the evil Vandal Savage.
