Yesterday saw the release of a brand new poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, and earlier we saw the cast of the movie highlighted on the cover of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. Now, to top all that off, a new batch of stills have now found their way online from the movie, and you can view them in the gallery above.
Talking to the magazine about her most memorable day on set during the 152 day shoot of the epic two-part movie, star Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen) said the following:
“I was excited about the scene at the end of the movie when I shoot my arrow—I won’t give it away— because when I was doing my archery training at age 20, that was always the scene I pictured. Five years ago I used to look at a stack of hay and pretend that it was this moment, and now it is here.”
Fans of the books will no doubt understand what Lawrence is referring to there, but they’ll also no doubt be hoping that this finale to the franchise lives up to expectations. After all, the first half of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay was criticized for its lack of action as it slowly built towards this instalment, so the pressure is on for this to deliver in a major way, while also doing the source material justice.
