Pegged for release later this week in North America, Bethesda has finally peeled back the curtain on Dishonored: Definitive Edition, showcasing the visual upgrades making their way into the grimy, industrial city of Dunwall.
And though remasters and re-releases are beginning to reach the point of saturation – if they haven’t already, that is – eagle-eyed Reddit users have spotted a deal on the US PlayStation Store that offers players a 50% discount on the Definitive Edition should they already own the acclaimed stealth title, taking it down to $19.99. And yes, that even includes if you downloaded it via PlayStation Plus. Now word yet on whether this promotion applies to Europe, but we’ll keep you posted as the re-release gears up for its launch across the pond on August 28.
Furthermore, considering that Dishonored: Definitive Edition is yet to pop on Xbox Marketplace, we can’t confirm whether the same deal will be available for those Xbox 360 owners eager to pick up the upcoming remaster – which bundles all of the downloadable content available – for Microsoft’s current-gen console. Mind you, it’d be unusual if this platform-to-platform deal was exclusive to Sony’s systems.
Dishonored: Definitive Edition is due to arrive for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 25 and August 28 in North America and Europe, respectively.
