Fresh off bringing its supernatural thriller Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy to PC platforms earlier this year, French developer Quantic Dreams has took to the PlayStation Blog to confirm that both Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls are headed to PlayStation 4.
No word yet on a release date for the pair of interactive dramas, or any official screenshots for that matter, though the studio did post the following message to fans.
We can’t wait to show you what they look like now… We’ll share more details on exactly when and how you can get your hands on these classic games soon!
Granted, reports claiming that both Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls would make the jump to PlayStation 4 have been doing the rounds for almost a year at this point, and Quantic Dreams have finally outed one of the industry’s worst-kept secrets.
Though as the studio notes over on PlayStation Blog, there will be significant chunk of the PS4’s 22 million install base that is yet to experience Quantic Dreams atypical take on the genre. Perhaps more so than any game before them, both Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls poke and prod at the artificial ceiling of the medium, wrapping cinematic storylines around equally impressive visuals.
The former of which launched back in 2010, telling the heart-wrenching tale of a father in search of his missing son; whereas Two Souls errs toward the supernatural by following the mysterious, slightly unhinged Jodie Holmes.
We’ll bring you more information about Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain‘s journey onto PlayStation 4 as more news appears.
