As it happens, Amazon France wasn’t so far off when the outlet slated Turn 10’s Forza Motorsport 6 for a release on September 18, after Microsoft officially slated the latest installment in the simulator series for debut on September 15.
Revealed alongside a new gameplay trailer for the latest iteration, here we see Ford’s sleek GT race car featured prominently, and Forza 6 has been hailed as the “most beautiful, technically advanced” title that Turn 10 has yet produced. We’ll see how that blue-sky ambition pans out when the racer hits in a few months’ time.
As you can see in the clip above, dynamic weather makes a return in Forza Motorsport 6, along with the previously-confirmed Drivatars – lending AI opponents a degree of personality much like previous entries in the long-running series – night racing and a staggering roster of vehicles to race, crash and conquer goals with. And though destructible environments have featured heavily in the more recent entries into the series, there’s some really impressive physics on display in the sizzle reel, and it’s a feature that will surely excite petrolheads the world over.
According to Turn 10, we can expect no less than 26 destinations, over 450 cars, and support for 24-car multiplayer mayhem. Forza Motorsport 6 will drift onto Xbox One on September 15.
