The Half Shell Heroes are going to have their hands full in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, if recent rumors about the sequel hold water. According to Cinema Blend, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello will be duking it out not only with BeBop and Rocksteady but also villainous Krang, an affiliate of the dreaded Shredder.

According to an unnamed source, the production shot a scene last week that involved Krang arriving on Earth through a portal, much to the terror of many extras on hand for the scene.

It’s unclear how true to the cartoon series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will be, but Krang originated as a warlord who commanded an army of Rock Soldiers. After his brain was stripped from his body as punishment for past crimes and he was jettisoned into the mysterious Dimension X, Krang vowed vengeance against humankind. In the cartoon, the villain partnered with Shredder, agreeing to let the Shredder access a mobile battle fortress called the Technodrome in exchange for the baddie designing a new, heavily armored body for Krang.

Paramount has not confirmed Krang’s involvement, but we already know that BeBop, Rocksteady and Shredder are involved, so it’s not too much of a stretch to imagine Krang coming into play as well.

Gary Anthony Williams, Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Stephen Amell, Tyler Perry, Laura Linney and Brian Tee are all starring in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, opposite Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher and Johnny Knoxville. David Green (Earth to Echo) is taking the reins from Jonathan Liebesman for this installment, which has been dated for June 3, 2016.
