Activision has unveiled a new look at Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare‘s upcoming Zombies Mode, which is due to arrive in tandem with the game’s maiden DLC pack, Havoc, in January.
Featuring the likes of John Malkovich, Jon Bernthal, Rose McGowan and Aliens‘ Bill Paxton (game over, man!), the fan favorite mode will up the ante by equipping the undead with exoskeletons similar to your own, thus levelling the post-apocalyptic playing field. The star-studded cast will take up arms as employees of the devious Atlas corporation, and are tasked with cleaning up the mess after a routine bomb unleashed a “freak show that no one has ever seen.”
Players will once again be split into fireteams of four in the survival mode, before having to defend a makeshift base from waves upon waves of the undead. This isn’t the first time that the Call of Duty franchise has recruited some notable actors for the co-operative mode, given that previous installments have seen appearances from Ray Liotta, Chazz Palminteri, Joe Pantoliano, and Michael Madsen.
Aside from the Zombies Mode, Havoc will also bring about four all-new multiplayer maps for Advanced Warfare — namely Sideshow, Core, Drift and Urban — and is available to buy as a standalone content pack or, for those who own the game’s Season Pass, they will be able to download the DLC from the get-go.
Much like previous installments in the first-person juggernaut, the expansion will be available first on Xbox One in January, before proliferating on to other platforms in the subsequent weeks.
