It’s no secret that this console generation has brought with it its fair share of last-gen ports. Whether it’s Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs or The Last of Us, publishers have took the opportunity to beef up the sparse software line-up on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by bringing existing titles to a whole new audience.
For some users, this brand of re-releases is merely a way for studios to draw in another wave of income for what is, essentially, the same game. But for Grand Theft Auto V on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Rockstar Games has crammed in just enough new features to warrant double-dipping, as the recently-released launch trailer attests.
[zergpaid]Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve gradually learned more about GTA V‘s re-release, one which will include the long-rumoured first-person perspective. That’s not all Rockstar’s reworked title has to offer, though, as we understand that PS4 and Xbox One owners will welcome new wildlife to hunt, increased draw distance, and even remodelled vehicle interiors. Heck, you can now see bullet wounds in the body of your character (be it Trevor, Michael or Franklin) when you cast your eyes down to the point of entry.
Grand Theft Auto V will have its current-gen debut when it arrives on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18th. Those who are holding off to purchase Rockstar’s magnum opus on PC will have to wait until the early stages of 2015 — maybe, just maybe by that stage we’ll have news to bring you about the long-awaited multiplayer heists.
