A second, raunchy trailer for Horrible Bosses 2 has landed online tonight and I’m happy to say that it definitely delivers the laughs. I know a lot of people didn’t dig the original movie, but personally, I thought it was one of the funniest films of the year and every time I watch it I still find myself in stitches. Jason Bateman is one of my favorite comedic actors in Hollywood right now and when paired with Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day, the results are just golden.
For the sequel, the three aforementioned actors reprise their roles in a story that sees them launching their own business. But when a clever investor (Christoph Waltz) tries to take them down, the trio turn the tables and kidnap his son (Chris Pine) and demand a ransom. However, things take another odd turn when their hostage asks the guys if he can help them take down his dad. I imagine that from there, nothing goes as planned and our loveable protagonists will find themselves in way over their heads.
While the film might easily fall into some of the same traps that comedy sequels often do, I’m feeling fairly confident about it. Besides, even if it does turn out a bit underwhelming, just getting to see Bateman, Day and Sudeikis on screen together again will be worth the price of admission.
Horrible Bosses 2 is directed by Sean Anders and opens on November 26th. Check out the poster below and new trailer above and let us know if you’re interested in seeing more hi-jinxes from this crew of if you had enough after the first film.
