Sam & Dean Are Up Against It In New Poster For Supernatural Season 10

Another year, another season of Supernatural. What started as a humble X Files-esque show has undeniably grown into a small screen stalwart since it debuted all the way back in 2005, having even attempted a spin-off in the form of Supernatural: Bloodlines. And today, in order to garner excitement ahead of the show’s tenth run, the CW has published a new poster for Supernatural Season 10.

As expected, the image features the series’ four key characters: Sam, Dean, Castiel and current King of Hell, Crowley, who find themselves betwixt the forces of heaven and hell. Although, let’s face it, they probably wouldn’t have it any other way.

In the interest of avoiding spoilers, here’s a brief rendition of ‘The Road So Far:’

“Season 10 begins with Sam’s frantic search for his missing brother, who is gone without a trace. The road to recovering the wayward Dean takes Sam down dark paths, with consequences that will shake the boys to their core.”

And while long-time fans of the series have grown accustomed to the Winchester brothers being separated only to be reunited once again, Supernatural continues to perform well in The CW’s rankings. In fact, Mark Pedowitz — who serves as president of the network — has stated that the eerie fan-favourite has his full confidence and that it can continue for “as long as they want.”

So, it seems as though season 10 may not be the swan song that many expected for the Sam & Dean narrative. Either way, the tenth season of Supernatural will premiere on the CW on Tuesday, October 7th.
