The Last Tinker: City of Colors, a colorful 3D platformer from indie developer Mimimi Productions, made its original debut via Steam back in May, but if you missed out on that version and are yearning for a new title to play through on your shiny new PlayStation 4, you’re in luck, as the people at LOOT Entertainment have arranged for a port of the game to release next week exclusively via PlayStation Network for Sony’s latest console.
The game sees players take control of the monkey-like Koru on a quest to stop the monochrome Bleakness from draining his world of all its color. Along the way, he’ll meet various elemental spirits and learn new color-coded abilities that he makes use of in a stylish mix of old-school platforming and dynamic combat.
My review for the PC version of The Last Tinker was very positive, so it’s exciting to know that the game will soon be exposed to a new audience via the PS4. If you miss the days of 3D platformers, it’s definitely worth looking into when it launches in North America on September 19.
