One of the better films from the first half of this year was definitely Raymond de Felitta’s crime caper Rob the Mob, which charted the rise and fall of Tommy and Rosemarie Uva (played excellently by Michael Pitt and Nina Arianda), a real Queens couple who brazenly stuck up New York clubs habited by big-time mobsters as part of an unlikely crime spree. In my four-star review, I wrote:
Thanks to stellar performances from Pitt and Arianda, Rob the Mob works as both a deceptively complex mafia epic and as a wildly entertaining, Bonnie and Clyde-esque romance.
Part crime drama, part relationship comedy, Rob the Mob was one of those movies that really shouldn’t have worked but did so spectacularly. And as it heads to Blu-Ray and DVD this week courtesy of Millenium Entertainment, We Got This Covered is thrilled to debut an exclusive deleted scene from the film. Though it’s short, the clip gives you a flavor for the style and fine acting on display throughout the movie:
That’s not all though. To celebrate the film’s home video release, five lucky WGTC readers will win signed posters by director Raymond de Felitta and actors Ray Romano and Andy Garcia, in addition to Blu-Ray copies of Rob the Mob.
To win, don’t worry, we won’t make you stick up a joint or “take care” of a problem for us. All you have to do is like We Got This Covered on Facebook and re-tweet our contest message (below). A winner will be chosen on July 1st at 11:59pm EST.
