I suppose it’s only fitting that on a day when Arnold Schwarzenegger has a new film coming out, we hear that one of his greatest enemies could be making a return. A post on Infinity Ward’s Instagram account may have revealed that the Predator will be appearing in Call of Duty: Ghosts with the release of the Devastation DLC.
Although the teaser posted by Infinity Ward is very brief, it gives more than enough hints to lead us to believe that the creature will be showing up to terrorize players in the near future. We see a cloaked figure lunging at the screen, alongside a destroyed helicopter in a jungle setting. That’s more than enough proof for me, but we also hear a certain iconic gurgle from the creature. Not to mention that the accompanying text with the post is “If it bleeds…” At this point, I feel fairly confident in saying that the Predator is on his way.
Of course, this is not the first time that Call of Duty: Ghosts has brought on an iconic Hollywood villain, as Michael Myers of Halloween fame previously showed up with the release of Onslaught earlier this year. With this seemingly becoming a theme for Infinity Ward, I wonder which cinematic murderer will show up next?
Devastation features more than just an appearance from the Predator, however, as the release will feature four new maps as well as the next chapter in the Extinction storyline.
Call of Duty: Ghosts‘ Devastation DLC will be available on April 3rd for the Xbox One and Xbox 360, with other consoles receiving the content 30 days later. Anyone interested in going toe to toe with the Predator? Let us know in the comments section below.
