Alas, another year has come and gone, but momentary endings come with new beginnings and fresh opportunities, letting us start clean once again. With that said, I have no intention of starting over anything, and neither does my partner Remy, as we see 2014 as a chance to grow, reach even farther, and make the awesome year of 2013 seem uneventful compared to the hard-rocking, face-melting, awe-inspiring year of 2014. I can feel it people! If you thought 2013 had some highlights, just wait for 2014 – to quote lyrical virtuosos Tenacious D, we’re here to “rock your f@#king socks off!”
In keeping with the New Year and the resolutions that come along with it, not only are Remy and I reflecting on the promises we made to ourselves last year, but we’re here to make a whole new set of 2014 resolutions. We both made solid efforts to accomplish what we did last year, be it get involved with more interviews or make horror a bigger part of our lives, but now it’s time to go bigger. Better. Badder. Meaner – wait, no, not badder or meaner, but it’s definitely time to up our game. Not only that, but we’re also curious as to what you might want to see from us. Audience participation, let’s go people, that’s what makes this fun not only for you, but for us as well!
While most people commit to stereotypical resolutions that probably won’t last more than a month, like getting in shape and spending more time on yourself, we here at the Last Stand of course put a horror spin on our resolutions, finding ways of attacking the genre like we have yet to accomplish. Everyone needs goals – it gives you benchmarks. You need dreams. You need aspirations. The only difference is, our dreams are starring Freddy Krueger, while yours might be about climbing the summit of Mt. Everest. To each their own.
With that said, let’s take a look at all the ways Remy and I are looking to enhance your reading experience, and how we plan to elevate our game in 2014! Admittedly, these are more personal bits, but what better way to understand us as writers than to be as open and honest with you as possible? We’re not just meat sacks behind a keyboard, we’re real people with brains, ambitions, and other human junk!
