The last PlayStation Plus update for 2013 has revealed that subscribers to Sony’s premium PSN service will be able to download a free copy of Urban Trial Freestyle for the Vita when the PS Store updates later today. In addition to the lone Instant Game Collection title, Plus members can also expect to find… nothing.
That’s right, the final Plus update for the year contains a single IGC title and a total of zero discounts.
While it is a little disappointing that Sony has chosen to close out 2013 on such a whimper, it is a little hard to get worked up when 2014 is kicking off with Instant Game Collection additions like DMC Devil May Cry, BioShock Infinite, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
The only other thing of note in this week’s PlayStaiton Plus update is that both Contrast and GRID 2 will leave the IGC on January 7th. I’ve heard some unconfirmed talk that Don’t Starve: Console Edition is replacing Contrast as the PS4 offering on the IGC next week, but consider that a rumor until Sony gives us the official heads up.
