In little more than one week from today, Nintendo will push Link back into the spotlight with its release of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, the 3DS follow-up to the company’s Super Nintendo masterpiece, A Link to the Past. To get us in the mood for said return of one of gaming’s best and most prosperous franchises, the industry giant has debuted the title’s launch trailer, which is full of great-looking gameplay.
Set six generations after the events of A Link to the Past, A Link Between Worlds tasks players with manipulating two and three dimensional planes in order to get from one point to another, solve puzzles and discover important secrets. As a result of the noted design, the series’ elvish protagonist can now switch into a paper-like form that allows him to hug and walk across walls. It’s a neat idea, which will surely come into play quite often, as he attempts to save two kingdoms from the evil that threatens them.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will be released on November 22.
