Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has semi-revealed that the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will contain “exclusive content” that will not be included in the Xbox 360 and Xbox One ports.
The unconfirmed news of the PlayStation exclusive content comes from a picture of some Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes promotional material posted on Kojima’s Twitter account. A small cardboard standup can be seen in the lower left-hand corner of the image (embedded in the gallery below), which appears to contain the following bullet points:
- Prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
- Takes place in 1975 after Peace Walker and nine years before The Phantom Pain
- Multiple missions with central story mode and side-ops missions
- Exclusive content for PlayStation platform
The text in the original image is difficult to read, as the poster is positioned sideways in the picture, so it is possible that the actual bullet points read slightly different from the statements above. With that said, a stretched copy of the image (by VideoGamer) clearly reveals the “exclusive content for PlayStation platform” line.
Konami has not yet confirmed the Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes image, so we have no idea exactly what the publisher has planned for the PlayStation versions of the game. We will keep an eye out for the official reveal of the exclusive content though, and let you know as soon as anything is announced.
