Not content with leaving non-U.S. gamers out of the fun, Ubisoft has revealed a different collector’s edition of the highly anticipated Watch Dogs. The DedSec Edition of Watch Dogs will be available only in Europe, the Middle-East, Asia and Australia.
Similar to the recently revealed Limited Editon of Watch Dogs, the DedSec Edition will come with a figurine of protagonist Aidan Pearce, four Augmented Reality Cards, a CD of the game’s soundtrack, a steelbook collectible case, an 80-page artbook, a map of Watch Dogs‘ version of Chicago and, of course, the game itself. In addition to all of that, three extra single player missions will also be exclusive to this edition of the title.
According to Amazon, the DedSec Edition is expected to cost around £80.99 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and £114.99 on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. That is roughly similar to how much the game’s Limited Edition will retail for in the United States.
As much as I love having steelbook casing for my games, I have little to no interest in what is being offered here. All of the physical content here seems superfluous at best, and while having the additional single player content would be nice, I would be shocked if it wasn’t offered as downloadable content somewhere down the line. I mean, I still plan on picking up Watch Dogs as soon as it’s available. It looks incredible and I have to do my part in supporting original IPs. However, I will stick with just the plain old vanilla edition, thank you very much.
Watch Dogs will be released in Europe on November 22nd for the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U. It will also be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at a later point.
