Today we have the first, official image from I, Frankenstein. Thanks to EW, we’re given a great look at Aaron Eckhart in the upcoming Stuart Beattie film.
Though it was pushed back to a January 2014 release date, expectations are still high for the adaptation of Kevin Grievoux’s graphic novel. If you’re unfamiliar with the plot, check out the summary below:
Set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power, Victor Frankenstein’s creation Adam (Aaron Eckhart) finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality.
Seems like a cool spin on the classic monster tale and with Comic-Con right around the corner, we can expect to see more on this one soon as Lionsgate will be revealing some new footage and hopefully, a new trailer as well.
Co-starring Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto and Jai Courtney, I, Frankenstein is one of several projects currently in development that centers on the famous monster. Guillermo del Toro is currently lining up his own version of the story and Daniel Radcliffe is set to star in another spin on Frankie. So there’s more than enough Frankenstein to go around and if you’re a fan of the character, you’re in for a good year.
