Hideo Kojima has taken to Twitter to confirm, in a tweet, on Twitter, via a tweet, that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is in development for PS4, as well as Xbox One (announced previously), PS3 and Xbox 360. Here is that tweet, as found on Twitter:
Yes. So’s PS4 & Xbox One. “@nixel_pixel: @hideo_kojima_en Is MGS V coming to PS3, Xbox 360 like originally planned?”

This is notable because the brief trailer we previously saw – as part of Microsoft’s E3 presentation – didn’t mention the PS4 in any way, just the Xbox One. Now that Hideo Kojima has looked to Twitter to confirm in such an offhand and relaxed way that yeah, it’s also coming to PS4, people won’t necessarily have to buy Microsoft’s upcoming Hitler machine to enjoy the game.
With cross-console support and great voice talent, it’s looking like it’s shaping up to be game of the year across most media outlets – the opinions of which are surely the only ones what matter. We’ll keep you posted on any further news regarding Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and not just because talk like this makes us all excited in our areas.
