Dead Rising 3 Shambles Onto Xbox One This Holiday Season

I have no shame in saying that I bought a 360 strictly to play the original Dead Rising when it came out. I’m a massive B-reel horror films, and nothing has caught that quite as well as the Dead Rising series which mixes insane plots, massive zombie hordes and fantastic weapons. Dead Rising 3 seems to continue this trend as the brief gameplay trailer we were shown featured one man against seemingly thousands of zombies. The zombies seemed more intelligent this time, tracking the player’s movement, forcing him to use flares and sounds to distract them so he could get a running lane. Weapon crafting looks like it’ll be back as he was able to fashion a flashlight to a weapon without needing to use a workbench

I have no shame in saying that I bought an Xbox 360 strictly to play the original Dead Rising when it came out. I’m a massive fan of B-reel horror films, and nothing has caught that quite as well as the Dead Rising series, which mixes insane plots, massive zombie hordes and fantastic weapons.

Weapon crafting looks like it’ll be back too as our protagonist was able to fashion a flashlight to a weapon without needing to use a workbench

Furthermore, vehicles will no longer be safe havens as zombies can latch on to the side of your car and try to pull you out of the window as you’re speeding along. You’ll also be able to call in the ultimate in zombie overkill by asking for an artillery strike via SmartGlass technology. That’s an easy way to clean up the streets.

Finally, the open world game will apparently have no load times, something we can all be thankful for.

Dead Rising 3 will be available this holiday season exclusively on Xbox One. Check out the video below and let us know what you think.
