Earlier today during their upfront presentation, FX executives announced that the hit Tuesday night drama, Justified, has been renewed for a fifth season.
Justified is centered around the impulsive U.S. Marshall Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant). Givens lands in the Lexington, Kentucky field office after killing a man under questionable circumstances that he was chasing in Miami. The transfer was supposed to help keep him out of trouble, but instead takes him right into the thick of it.
The show is currently wrapping up its fourth season with its highest rated run yet. Currently, fans are at the edge of their seats after episode 4-12 (March 26th), Peace of Mind, ended with a major cliffhanger. For me personally, I can’t wait to catch the Justified season finale when it airs next Thursday, April 2nd, on FX at 10 p.m. EST.
In other FX news, the network announced its intentions to launch a secondary channel, FXX. The channel will be targeted toward young adults ages 18-34. Four established FX shows will be moving to the new network – It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The League, Legit, and Totally Biased With Kamau Bell.
