Sony has announced the release details for the next PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale add-on content, revealing that the Isaac Clarke (Dead Space) and Zeus (God of War) fighters along with the “Graveyard” stage will be free to download for anyone who buys God of War: Ascension.
New copies of God of War: Ascension (which goes on sale on March 12th) will come with a redeemable downloadable voucher code packed in with the game. Once the new PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale downloadable content is released on March 19th the codes will be become active and can be redeemed.
Naturally, the DLC for All-Stars Battle Royale will also be available for purchase for those who don’t buy God of War: Ascension. As with Fearless, the new Graveyard stage (which is a cross between MediEvil and The Unfinished Swan) will be free during all online ranked matches and $1.99 if you want to purchase it outright. Both Zeus and Isaac will be sold for $4.99 each, and can be purchased separately.
Each of the new characters has their own unique move-sets and play-styles, and seem to balanced well with the existing roster. Zeus is a powerhouse heavy-hitter fighter and acts as a complement to Big Daddy. As such, most of his moves involve strong punches, kicks, and throws, but he also has a lighting bolt projectile for medium range attacks. Additionally, Zeus can also “charge”, or power up, almost all of his attacks, which gives him one of the largest move-set lists in the game.
Isaac Clark is described as a “strong mid-range” fighter, who is similar to Jak and Nathan Drake in terms of play-style. While Isaac does have some up close melee moves, he is at his best when attacking other fighters at range with his projectile weapons, like; the Plasma Cutter, proximity mines, and Kinesis/Stasis abilities.
