Just in time for the 1-year anniversary of the series.

It has been nearly a year since Marvel Studios released its Disney Plus series, Ms. Marvel, starring Iman Vellani. In just a few months, this young Marvel character will make her huge MCU film debut in The Marvels. To celebrate the character’s one-year anniversary since her introduction in the MCU, Marvel Studios has released deleted scenes that didn’t make the show’s final cut.

Over on Ms. Marvel‘s “Extras” tab on Disney Plus, Marvel Studios has released six deleted scenes, one for each episode. Some of them extend scenes from the show, while others add more character interactions. Some are also altered scenes that may have been reshot during production.

For example, the first deleted scene, “I Can Explain,” is an alternate ending to episode one. Originally, when Kamala enters her room after sneaking out to AvengerCon, she’s caught by her mother who is waiting for her to come back. Meanwhile, the short 3-minute video features her brother, Amir, who waits for her to return but is caught by her mom when she enters the room.

Meanwhile, the fourth deleted scene, “Beach Day,” was removed, perhaps because it made the episode a bit longer. In this short 2-minute clip, Kamala and Kareem hang out at the beach while also participating in other fun activities. This scene may have occurred before the late-night bonfire moment in Episode 4.

There is also a deleted scene where Kamala interacts with her great-grandma, Aisha, during the Partition of India. Originally, the two don’t meet, but Kamala saw her and realized that she is the one who helped save her grandmother all those years ago. In the deleted scene, however, Kamala and Aisha run across the train station to stay away from danger.

It makes sense why these scenes were removed from the show. They may not have flowed well with the episode’s plot or may have been considered ultimately irrelevant. It is really rare for Marvel Studios to release deleted content from their Disney Plus originals, so it’s great that they’re doing it for Ms. Marvel. Hopefully, other titles receive the same treatment.

If you want to watch all these deleted scenes, they are available to view on Ms. Marvel‘s Disney Plus page.
