Jennifer Lawrence just made her debut on the center stage of the hottest wing competition on the internet, participating in the First We Feast YouTube segment anchored by Sean Evans for the very first time.
As is customary with this YouTube show, celebrities are invited to discuss their various endeavors throughout their career, with Evans’ carefully and masterfully planned questions. During this interview, the actress candidly talked about several subjects including her on-set injuries that led to embarrassment, namely, the moments when Lawrence lost a tooth, swallowed her nose ring, and was struck in the face with a glass. Apparently, the former took the cake for the most distressed moment on set.
“It wasn’t just one tooth. Because I have veneers, I had a whole section missing. It was the height of Covid, so I couldn’t go to the dentist, so I had to do all of Don’t Look Up with just a gaping hole in my mouth. Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Leonardo DiCaprio, just everybody. So I guess I would say the missing tooth.”
While the thought of this moment occurring is undeniably hilarious, it could not have been easy. After all, she was facing a roster of A-list celebrities after missing a whole set of veneers, and although we weren’t there, it is definitely distressing enough to make anyone give up acting altogether. Thankfully, this was nothing but a stepping stone in her career, as she continues to thrive in her newfound passion for producing, and continues to act as her primary force of entertainment.
Aside from the on-set injuries, this segment is known for leading to some of the most introspective moments from A-listers, as they cry due to the heat of the wings. Thankfully, Lawrence’s candid nature and comedic timing made her the perfect guest on the show, even though she ended up begging for mercy at the end. Apparently, she wasn’t ready to emulate Lorde.
Lawrence’s cameo on First We Feast can be watched on YouTube, while her upcoming film No Hard Feelings will hit theaters on June 23.
