Excluding all the fun and games, there’s absolutely no denying that the unsettling scene from Ari Aster’s feature directorial debut has been burned in our brains ever since Hereditary released in theaters back in 2018. Of course, the scene becomes all the more disturbing when viewers soon realize that a demon-worshipping cult is pulling the strings behind the scenes — but that’s certainly to be expected when it comes to horror.
