Nearly 10 years ago, the television realm was absolutely fascinated as millions tuned in to watch the groundbreaking Breaking Bad finale. Created by Vince Gilligan, the captivating crime-drama series centers around Walter White (Bryan Cranston) — a high school teacher turned drug kingpin as the complexities of his personal and professional life lead him to cook methamphetamine to leave financial security for his family after his lung cancer diagnosis.

And while the show’s enticing premise certainly gives off that drama feel, it’s worth noting that Breaking Bad simultaneously contains a healthy dose of dark humor. In fact, the show’s reputation pertaining to its comedic relief became such a hit on indie platforms such as Tumblr, that a long-standing meme circulated about how BrBa is a “black comedy.” That being said, let’s dive right in and explore the 10 best Breaking Bad memes — and yes, narrowing it down to just 10 was difficult.

1. No more questions, please

There’s nothing more invasive and uncomfortable than being bombarded with questions at a family gathering. And while this scenario happening on holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas is bad enough, it’s even worse when you’re hounded with questions by family members that are practically strangers — which is typically the case at a large family reunion. Seriously, no more questions — especially when it comes to Jesse Pinkman at the dinner table.

2. Keep the cheese coming!

The second a hearty plate of pasta is placed right in front of you at Olive Garden, the immediate urge to ask the waiter to keep piling on the grated cheese just intensifies. Of course, they typically don’t mind standing there and waiting for you to say “when,” but asking them to stand there for four hours with the cheese grater might be a bit overkill. It’s hard to say “when” if you love cheese with a passion. Better call Saul for some cheese, am I right?

3. We won’t condone cheating, but…

Although cheating on an exam isn’t the correct thing to do, the majority of folks would undoubtedly be lying if they said they never cheated on a test at least once. In the modern realm of technology, students typically use cell phones to assist them with cheating on a test. And occasionally, the moment will arise when you use your phone to quickly Google some answers, but that doesn’t mean you need to help anybody else. In Walter White’s terms, you do what you do for yourself only.

4. It doesn’t make much of a difference

One of the silliest memes on this list relates to companies feeling like customers truly care that much about a product if it’s marketed as one more cent than in an original ad. Of course, there’s no other Breaking Bad character who could display this feeling as profoundly as Hank Schrader (Dean Norris). Let’s be honest, having to pay a penny more really isn’t going to deter customers from buying a product in the end. Get with the program, corporations.

5. Santa?! I know him!

Shhh, this one you’ll probably want to hide from the kids. As one of the most magical figures in the world, it’s not hard to understand why Jesse potentially finding out that Walter White is actually Santa would be scarring. Then again, with Jesse being well into his late 20s by the time the series first premiered, it’s obvious that he would have long stopped believing in Santa Claus. Still, that picture of Mr. White dressed in the red-and-white attire does look convincing.

6. All hope is lost

The majority of father-and-child duos out there understand the sensation of panic when you’d accompany your dad to the grocery store as a child. It goes without saying that your mom would always be the one to provide the list for him, but somehow the two of you would always struggle to find the exact things that you wrote down. Suddenly, the panic feeling set in — which is perfectly showcased in the look in Mike Ehrmantraut’s eyes in the meme above.

7. Fantastic workflow at its finest

There’s nothing more endearing than clocking in for work each day and remembering that half your earnings will eventually be either cut or reduced. We’re joking, of course, but it’s fair to say that most managers at workplaces don’t view it that way. In fact, they consider it a fair agreement and even expect you to smile in their face through it all. Talk about the love of your job, am I right? And who better to accurately display this scenario than Gus Fring himself?

8. Put a shirt on, dad

In one way or another, it’s fair to say that our parents have done something to embarrass us in front of our friends. Whether it’s whipping out the baby album full of candid photos or your dad walking around the house without a shirt on — and in tighty whities, in Walter White’s case — there’s no place that parents won’t go to if it involves embarrassing their kids. It’s purely out of love, of course, but that doesn’t stop it from being any less horrific.

9. Those darn Avengers!

In an epic collaboration between two sought-after commodities, the MCU meeting Breaking Bad would certainly be one for the books. And with a fast-talking smooth operator like Saul Goodman sniffing around, the Avengers would absolutely need Saul in their corner. Of course, the Avengers’ antics definitely don’t present a walk in the park for construction workers — but that’s why having a top-notch lawyer like Saul Goodman helps you out.

10. Walt is just taking a spin

There’s nothing wrong with a little spin around the block, right? Well, there’s rarely a time in the drama series where Walt is speeding through traffic and endangering the lives of everyone around him. Then again, that’s what makes him so perfect for Rainbow Road on Mario Kart — which was hilariously displayed in a recent Twitter meme. But let’s face it, the majority of Mario Kart characters drive recklessly, so it’s not as if Walt wouldn’t fit in without any issues.
