Every once in a while, someone will ask who among the Hollywood Chrises is the best. While the question has no definitive answer or victor, we can confidently say that when Chris Hemsworth – the Australian God of Thunder – and Chris Evans – America’s Ass – get together, fantastic times ensue.
In 2019, Hemsworth stated why he and Evans couldn’t do a joint Avengers press. The actor told Variety, “With Chris Evans, I have a real brotherly bond. I think they wouldn’t pair us up on this press tour because we just spend the whole time screwing around, and none of it is on topic.”
Adding to his co-star and buddy’s comments, Evans opined that, “We had too much fun together, and truly like kids in school, we were separated because we weren’t getting s— done.”
And who can forget when Hemsworth posted a selfie with Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt to mock Evans’ 40th birthday? The caption for the Instagram photo of Hemsworth and Pratt smiling on Instagram said, “Happy 40th birthday Chris Evans, you’ll always be number 1 in my book.”
Now, Hemsworth has provided further evidence that the two actors enjoy fun banter on set by reminiscing their iconic, joke-filled interaction, commenting that he was “Giving Cap a classic belly aching Thor joke.”

Evans can be seen belly laughing as Hemsworth looks to be rubbing his abdomen in the photo. While the rest of us may have trouble piecing together what happened here, we can’t dispute the offscreen friendship between these two Chrises, and their genuine chemistry on set was clearly one of the MCU’s greatest strengths.
