Loki switching with Ant-Man to face Kang in ‘Quantumania’ would’ve cracked open the MCU multiverse

MCU fans are trying to make things even more complicated by switching up Loki and Ant-Man's Kang introduction.

The MCU Multiverse is already so confusing, with Marvel literally tying itself into knots as it tries to create a coherent storyline throughout the current saga. Now fans are trying to muddy the waters even further as they wonder what the outcome would have been if Ant-Man and Loki swapped places when meeting their respective variants of Kang.

Loki season one was our very first introduction to Kang, or at least one version of him, as He Who Remains. This was a Kang who had somehow managed to end a multiversal war, caused by his own variants, by simply eliminating all but one timeline, the one we’ve come to know as the Sacred Timeline. He Who Remains oversaw all from his chair in the Citadel at the End of Time, that is until Loki and Sylvie came in and disrupted everything.

We met another version of Kang more recently in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Kang the Conqueror. This was a Kang variant so feared by his other variants that they imprisoned him in the Quantum Realm. Both Kangs we have met thus far have something in common, they both believe themselves to be the lesser evil when it comes to their other variants, many of whom we saw in the post-credits scene which introduced us to the Council of Kang.

What would have happened though if it was Ant-Man and Wasp standing before He Who Remains and Loki and Sylvie battling Kang the Conqueror? How different would the outcome have been if this switcheroo were to have taken place? That’s precisely what this fan wanted to know when they posed the question on Reddit.

Some feel that Loki would be unlikely to pass the same challenges Scott did, we’ve already seen multiple versions of himself together and that did not work out too great.

Scott, on the other hand, would have dealt with He Who Remains’ offer very differently.

Kang’s offer may have gone down a lot better with Loki than it did with Scott.

Many seem to be under the impression that both versions of Kang are the same variant, just at different points in his life.

Without the ants, Scott would likely be destroyed by Kang, and this user thinks that the same would happy to Loki. Just another of his deaths in a long line of deaths.

Given how chill He Who Remains is, some can see them having an amicable chat, even sharing a brewski.

There are endless possibilities, where do they end?

From what the final post-credits scene for Quantumania showed us we will be seeing more of Loki going up against Kang in season two after we were introduced to the Kang variant, Victor Timely. As more and more Kangs come out of the woodwork it will be great to see Jonathan Majors flexing his acting (and real) muscles, as well as watching how other MCU characters deal with the very major threat he poses.
