Fantasy series creators forgive Netflix’s cancellation by joining another fantasy series
As confusing as the headline above is, we’re even more confused after a recent move between the creators of 1899 and Netflix. In the past, 1899, much like a plethora of other Netflix shows, was effectively canceled. Despite the cancellation, however, creators Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese have chosen to move on from the dead project and set their sights on a new series — which will also premiere on Netflix. Go figure. It’s definitely a confusing decision, especially when you consider that Netflix will likely just cancel this new series too, but perhaps trying and failing really is better than never trying in the first place.
To the surprise of everyone, Cocaine Bear is boasting a flawless RT score
Ahead of its official release in theaters tomorrow, the embargo surrounding Cocaine Bear has now been lifted — and critics wasted little time in rushing to Rotten Tomatoes to offer up their own personal analysis in regards to the 2023 creature feature. Of course, the actual reviews have quickly shocked a lot of folks, with the upcoming film boasting an incredible score of 100%. Yes, that’s right, Cocaine Bear is not only Certified Fresh, but it’s absolutely perfect. But with all of the hype revolving around the horror movie in the last several weeks, such an impressive feat should come as no surprise.
Despite glaring reviews, not everyone is convinced that the movie is great
Without a doubt, the jaw-dropping reviews are definitely a sign of encouragement for Banks’ action thriller, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that every horror fan out there is on board with the project. In fact, a recent Reddit thread sifted through the movie’s flaws, where the OP insisted that the movie is “pure trash.” In that same breath, however, the OP claimed that the movie was still dumb fun with a lot of positive moments. If that’s the case, then we’re considering this to be a success.
Climb back in tomorrow, bear fanatics, for a fresh-faced horror roundup.
