Season three of Outer Banks has just dropped on Netflix, with 10 episodes full of just as much adventure as drama. A few days ahead of the new season’s premiere, fans of the TV show were treated to the much anticipated announcement of a fourth season. Of course, no amount of future seasons could satisfy viewers’ hunger for more Pogues content, and while there’s no telling for how long the series will run, we’ll take what we can get.
Now that dedicated fans have had some time to sink their teeth into the new developments in the story, it’s time to look forward. Unfortunately, Netflix’s confirmation of a fourth season wasn’t accompanied by a release date just yet — it’s far too early for that type of detail — but judging by previous releases, we might have an idea of when it will happen.
If filming for season four begins sometime this Summer, it’s possible that fans will see Outer Banks back on their screens by this time next year, or Summer 2024, at the latest. However, it’s worth keeping in mind that this is mere speculation, and until Netflix confirms a date, there is no way to be sure.
As for season four’s cast, there is also no word thus far about who will be returning to the show, but it’s not hard to imagine. Unless a major change is made to the main cast of Outer Banks, fans should expect Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, and Drew Starkey to reprise their roles.
All three seasons of Outer Banks are currently available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
