Ghost Recon: Future Soldier comes from a franchise built around soldiers armed with the latest technology, but it appears that the future isn’t quite as advanced as one would have assumed. Following a successful console release, the PC version of the game has launched littered with bugs.
Setting your sights on the Ubisoft forums will reveal a ‘bug reporting thread‘ cluttered with complaints. It appears that issues have been uncloaked with almost every element of the title, ranging from problems displaying certain resolutions to the inability to move your mouse or your man.
Ubisoft are aware of the problems, and are “working agressively to correct any issues as soon as possible”. However, their current plan of attack, closing the main bug reporting thread and dividing the issues up into different topics, suggests that there are numerous underlying issues – this unfortunately suggests that there will be no quick fix coming to Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
How this rather inglorious beginning will affect the title remains to be seen, but those of you with itchy trigger fingers should perhaps occupy yourselves with another front line for the foreseeable future.
