After a wait that became increasingly excruciating once it was revealed to be the single most critically-acclaimed live-action video game adaptation ever made, The Last of Us has finally premiered its first episode, and fans have been reacting exactly as you’d expect.

The first episode immerses viewers in the post-apocalyptic world from the very first scene, and it’s instantly become the single most talked-about thing on the internet. While a lot of the focus and praise deservedly falls on stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, another key supporting player in The Last of Us has spoken of his desire to emulate the leading man and head to a galaxy far, far away.

No stranger to the world of blockbuster franchises thanks to his previous stints as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Ghost Rider and the villain of infamous box office bomb Terminator: Dark Fate, Gabriel Luna revealed to ComicBook‘s The Last of Pods podcast that he’s got his eyes on Star Wars.

“I wrote a letter to Dave [Filoni] and a while back and it’s a dream of mine. I mean, there’s all kinds of possibilities there. I was just talking to Neil at the party and I was like, “Yeah, Neil [Druckmann], until we do that, until that time comes when it’s time for Star Wars,” and I’m just wishful thinking and hoping, but once again, I will always prepare as if I have the job. If that day should ever come, I’ll be ready.”

Now that he’s forged a close bond with Pascal, it wouldn’t be difficult to imagine The Mandalorian headliner putting in a good word to either Dave Filoni or Jon Favreau. If the creative duo gave him the leeway to shoot both the Star Wars series and The Last of Us at once, then there’s no reason why Gabriel couldn’t become the sci-fi saga’s second high-profile Luna after Andor‘s Diego.
