Multiple online resumes have recently been found that list both Mirror’s Edge 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 3, despite the fact that neither game has been officially announced by Electronic Arts.
Two LinkedIn profiles from former EA employees mention Mirror’s Edge 2, one is from a software engineer that claims to have worked on “the wandering of crowd system within Unreal 3 engine” between July and August 2009. The second resume states that its owner implemented “new gadgets and interactive features” into the game, including “leaderboards” and a “mini-game” inside Mirror’s Edge 2’s main story.
The last resume comes from Michael Joseph C, who claims to have “provided video game prototype, design and demo feedback on various AAA titles including the Battlefield: Bad Company 3, Dead Space 2, Devil May Cry 5 and other unannounced titles”, from 2009 to 2011.
While neither game has been officially announced, it’s not hard to conceive that EA would be developing Bad Company 3 or Mirror’s Edge 2. Bad Company has been a very successful franchise for EA, which all but guarantees that we will see more sequels in the future. Mirror’s Edge, on the other hand, was not nearly as successful but company execs have already confirmed that we haven’t seen the last of Faith.
Consider this all a rumor for now, but don’t be surprised if one or both of these titles get announced at E3.
