Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players are angry. I know, hide your shock. However, this time they’re doing something righteous with their anger. A Youtube video has rallied the troops around for a one day blackout come April in hopes that Activision and Infinity Ward will take notice and make some changes. The video detailed a list of in-game issues that needed to be addressed, including:
“We have been ignored repeatedly when asking for quality post-release fixes to be implemented,” states the manifesto. Such issues include lag compensation, spawn problems, matchmaking issues and LAN settings. Players also want death streaks removed, and assault streaks taken out of the support package.”
The blackout is scheduled to begin on April 20th and is planned to last for 24 hours.
I’m not normally one to pay attention to the actions of angry gamers; however, for whatever reason, this seems well thought out. If they manage to remove enough players to the point where Activision and Infinity Ward actually notice, that would truly be an impressive feat. Now, the question is, are you going to join up?
