Another week and another promotional score for fans of The Hunger Games.
Lionsgate is on the verge of its release date for the much anticipated adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel and recently, they released an exclusive featurette on ET that introduces the major players of the games and gives some backstory on them as well. At nearly five-minutes, we get glimpses of new footage spliced with commentary provided by the actors.
The Hunger Games is poised to beat previous Twilight numbers at the box office and if you’re one of the millions of people who plan on hitting the theater opening day without engaging in the book, this featurette gives you a great jumping off point for what you may have missed.
Personally, what I’m most interested to see is how this PG-13 film is going to handle the parts in the novel that get fairly violent. At that rating, there’s only so much they can do and for those that have read the novel, it does get pretty rough at time.
That being said, I do have faith and I’m sure myself, along with the millions of other fans, will not be letdown.
The Hunger Games hits theaters on March 23rd, 2012.
